Enterprise Architect CASE tool plugin

Wells Fargo are one of the oldest and largest banks in the United States. I have had the pleasure of developing a CASE tool plugin for their internet services department. The plugin is used by internal business analysts to generate rapid user interface prototypes based on requirements gathered by the case tool. The skills required for this project were Sparx Systems Enterprise Architect, UML, XML, XPath and Visual Basic 6.

This project has now entered a 2nd stage of development, where we are making considerable improvements and enhancements to the projects feature set.

Test Path generation CASE tool plugin for Wells Fargo Bank

Another plugin is also now under development, which is designed to automatically generate test cases based on requirements in the UML models. This project is being built using c# and the Microsoft .NET Framework. We're using the QuickGraph graph library for building a mathematical representations of the UML model, and then deriving test paths using standard graph traversal algorithms.

Parallel 54 Systems Audit and VB Development

Parallel 54 are a Manchester based company who offer a web clipping service and internet monitoring service. I am currently conducting a systems audit to give them a 3rd party perspective on how their systems can be improved to better achieve business objectives and cope with increasing customer demands. The job has involved analysing software systems, server performance and database performance. I have also been reviewing the code base and suggested improvements for code structuring, unit testing and source control. The skills required for this project are SQL Server Scalability & Performance, Visual Basic 6, ADO & Data Access Best Practices, Windows Performance Counters, TCP/IP Networking, Unit Testing, Source Control

Web for Nusystems online music retailer

Nusystems sell computer music hardware and software online. Amongst other things, I am helping them by improving site performance, extending functionality and streamline their e-commerce facilities and processes. The skills in use during this project are ASP, MS SQL Server, BCP, Web Security and IIS.

Telephony robot for Online Directories

Online Directories produce a number of printed and electronic publications, including the Freephone Directory, Freephone Pages and the Freephone Directory Magazine. I have been working on a telephony "robot" which can dial and anlyse 1000's of telephone lines a day. The skills in use during this project are C++, Intel Dialogic Telephony Hardware, SQL, Regular Expressions.

Online Directories Business Information System

Online Directories employ a large team throughout the UK to carry out Account Management, Quality Control and Directory Distribution. I am working to consolidate their fragmented legacy systems to help the software systems become more flexible when it comes to accommodating changes in the business. The project uses the NHibernate Object Relational Mapper, C#, ASP.NET, and Sql Server 2000.

SQL Buddy - An Open Source IDE for SQL Server

SqlBuddy is an application that allows you to send queries to your SQL Server databases. I started the project as means of learning about the Microsoft .NET framework and C#. The project has evolved over the last year or so and now has quite a large user base!
